MOVEMENTS: CAM @ MCA Denver is a selection of student work from the College of Arts & Media (CAM) at CU Denver. Working on the downtown campus, these students come from distinctly divergent areas in art and design including 3D animation, motion graphics, painting, photography and sculpture. This exhibition celebrates these differences through wall projections, interactive computer kiosks, large-scale painting, photography, sculpture and an intimate viewing of the Digital Animation Center’s senior project, the animated digital short The Eight-Second Dance.

As shown here, CAM students define culture in the broadest sense. The work ranges from the psychological implications of synesthesia to applications designed for iPad™ – from painterly ruminations on alienation to data visualization of plant life. Some students revel in the comedic and the sensual, others focus on needed change, demonstrating the wide reach of art and design today.

My birthday usually sucks so as a result I don’t really like to celebrate them BUT this year with the help of Turner Jackson and Tone Dynamix I think we could have fun this year! There is a bunch of DJ’s that will be making sure your face melts I will be doing some fun VJ stuff for the thrill of it and you know TURNER JACKSON will make it live!

This is also a going away party for one of my beloved friends Alyssa “GUCCI” Morin! So come say farewell to her as well.
